The Galway Hooker Bar & Restaurant was established in 1997 in Heuston train station, a 13 minute walk from the Guinness Storehouse. Enter via the domed bell tower and cupola at the front of the building, or via the train station. Look for the beer garden. The 175 year old building retains its original features, high ceilings and sash windows. The Galway Hooker Bar & Restaurant boasts a beautiful bespoke copper bar that runs almost the full length of the wing.
The Galway Hooker Bar & Restaurant serves a full Irish breakfast every morning, with a daily Irish roast beef carvery at lunchtime. They have a selection of other main courses, sandwiches, pastries and more, buffet style.
Wheelchair users may enter from the side of the bar. The restaurant displays the train times, so it is a comfortable place to wait for your train and enjoy a relaxing pint of Guinness.
