Accessibility Statement
Fáilte Ireland is committed to making VisitDublin.com accessible and to ensuring its services are accessible to all. We encourage feedback from our users.
This site was developed to reach conformance rating Double A with WCAG and comply with Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) v 2.2.
Compliance Activity
Prior to launch we conducted a thorough review of VisitDublin.com to assess compliance with (WCAG) 2.2 AA. This review was performed using functional keyboard-only tests, colour contrast, text resizing, and DOM inspection.
We run an automated accessibility scan on our Staging site in advance of monthly code releases to Production. We will not release to our Production site if the site fails to achieve an accessibility score greater than 85% or if there are critical issues reported that are not attributed to our exemptions. We also scan our Production site post-release to confirm it is meeting this standard and remediate if necessary.
Non-Compliance Exemptions
Despite our best efforts to ensure the accessibility of VisitDublin.com, there may be some areas of the website that are not fully accessible due to the use of necessary third-party technology, these may include:
- Embedded Google maps
- Embedded YouTube videos
- Embedded Vimeo videos
- Hotjar Surveys
