Saint Catherine’s Church can be found on Thomas Street in the Liberties, one of the oldest parts of Dublin City, not far from Christ Church Cathedral and St Patrick’s Cathedral.

Saint Catherine's Church in Dublin City centre was designed by architect John Smyth and completed in 1769, although it stands on a site with ecclesiastical significance dating back to 1177.

Saint Catherine’s closed its doors in the 1960s but in 1998 it was bought by a local Anglican group and restored as a place of worship. The church interior is typical of the period, with an oak panelled gallery, cast iron columns and boxed pews.

The church currently offers a vibrant ministry to an ever growing community and has been an enduring presence in the locality for centuries. The beauty of the current church continues to stand as a prominent feature of Thomas Street.
