Shopping centres in Dublin
Either side of the ever-lively Henry Street are the Ilac Shopping Centre – also home to Dublin’s Central Library – and the retail and dining multilevel hub that is the Jervis Shopping Centre.
In the south city centre, the glass-roofed St Stephen’s Green Shopping Centre has three light-filled floors and a flagship Dunnes Stores. Skip down Grafton Street to the tune of full-voiced buskers and slip along Johnston’s Court lane to find yourself at Powerscourt Townhouse Centre. Gathered around the the glass-roofed courtyard of a converted Georgian townhouse are fashion boutiques, interiors stores, art galleries and jewellers, along with cafes, bars and beauty salons.
The suburbs are well served too, with extensive malls scattered around the city. The largest of these is Dundrum Town Centre, where amenities include a great selection of restaurants as well as a cinema, independent theatre, soft play centre, gym and stage school – and even the family-friendly Rainforest Adventure Golf. Open seven days a week, sometimes with shorter Sunday hours and extended Thursday hours, these all have good parking and public transport access.
